Oscar is ten years old and was born in Glencoe. He loves company and snuggling up on the sofa beside the family.He is the much loved pet of my grandchildren, Sofia and Luca and enjoys coming to Bute for holidays when his owners are away from home.

When Oscar was still quite young he was an rather adventurous cat who would wander around the local area and became well known among the shopkeepers and in particular at a hairdresser where he used to sit below the hairdryer! Once he was tracked at Jordanhill Station!

On one occasion when Oscar was missing for a week the local Cat Protection on Face Book located him miles from home being cared for by a lady who had taken him in thinking her long lost ‘Elvis’ had returned!

Oscar’s adventures led to him unfortunately having an accident when he was hit by a car. He managed to drag himself home even climbing over the garden wall, with a broken hip.
The nearest emergency veterinary appointment was in Stirling so he was operated that night. He has made a good recovery but when he sits he adjusts his hip and leg in such a sweet manner, as a reminder of his youthful days while roaming the West end of Glasgow!
We are all glad to say that Oscar doesn’t wander away from home so much these days!
