Copyright

The artist retains full copyright on all artwork that is produced, including mock-ups and prints. This means I can create prints and calendars using the image of the artwork created. When a portrait is commissioned I reserve the right to display it in my website gallery and on my social media pages. Clients who do not wish their commissioned portrait to be shown online must notify me before work commences.

Payment

To commission a portrait, a 30% non-returnable deposit payment must be made before the drawing of the portrait can begin. This books you a slot in my schedule. The balance must be made prior to dispatch or collection. I accept PayPal or Bank Transfer.

Delivery

Delivery time will be agreed at the time of purchase – please be aware that I work on a first-come first-served basis and waiting times can vary so please contact me to make sure your portrait can be complete and delivered in the time you need.

I encourage collection of the work from my studio where possible. I like to show customers my working environment and introduce them to my own cat Molly! I can deliver to a location on Bute free of charge and I use Royal Mail for UK deliveries off the island.

Cancellations

If clients cancel their order and work has commenced on the portrait, the deposit will be retained to cover the artist time, administration, materials and loss of business.

Lead Time

I often have a client waiting list and lead time will depend on the time of year and number of other portraits booked in my schedule. I will provide an estimated completion date upon your enquiry. For specific dates (e.g. for a birthday) I will try my best to accommodate any special request.
