When we met Freya for the first time she immediately connected with us even before we knew she was going to be our cat. At the time she still had both of her eyes. Few weeks later, whilst she was still too young to come home with us, she had an interaction with another cat and as a result lost her eye. We were subsequently asked whether we still wanted her which resulted in us loving her even more - we couldn’t want her more and looked forward to having her with us. Freya “Minimi” was genuinely the loveliest cat we could have ever wished for. Our little princess was full of life and love. She looked after all of us, including her sister Bonny, who she groomed daily. She was tiny and cute and smelled of sunshine and lollipops. We had daily chats and spent hours neighbourhood watching birds.
We lost her 6 months ago and not a day goes by when I don’t think about her. My heart fills with sadness due to her sudden passing (severe heart condition which resulted in kidney failure due to the string medication) but also with love because she gave so much to us. Essentially her heart was extremely large and her body could not cope with it. She had too much love to give I’d like to think.
The love of a pet is truly unique and she will always be our little princess - forever missed, never forgotten!
